We are looking for a Distribution Center Assistant Manager to join our Rexel USA team in Denver, CO!

Summary:

The Distribution Center Assistant Manager has general responsibility for coordinating and supervising all distribution center activities performed on their shift by distribution center employees under their daily charge. Responsibilities also include managing the proper use of equipment, manpower, facility and equipment maintenance, safety, and security.

This position's schedule is from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM Monday through Friday.

What You'll Do

  • Must behave consistently with the Company’s Core Competencies, Polices, Procedures, guidelines, and focus on safety
  • In the absence of the Distribution Center Manager, is responsible for all aspects of the job tasks under their control
  • Participate in all aspects of hiring new employees. Recruits, trains, assigns, and directs work. Complete performance reviews, and disciplines and/or address complaints and resolves employee issues
  • Assist in managing the overall safety of personnel, company assets, material handling equipment, and the surrounding environment
  • Supervise and coordinate the functions of departments in an orderly manner to achieve the highest possible levels of accuracy and productivity
  • Establish work schedules, ensure that jobs are correctly implemented, assigned effectively, and completed properly
  • Examine work procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates
  • Delegate operational duties to Supervisors or Shift Leads
  • Maintain a cohesive work environment among workers and shifts
  • Issue written and oral work instructions
  • Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate manner
  • May fill in for various Distribution Center roles
  • Other duties as assigned

What You'll Need

  • 2+ years of management experience at a Distribution Center, Warehouse, or equivalent
  • Certified to operate all material handling equipment: forklift, Stand-Up Rider pallet Jack, Electric Reach Truck, and High-Reach Narrow-Aisle
  • High School or GED - Required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge and experience with Distribution Center material handling, inventory management, and transportation management required
  • Ability to perform short and long-range planning
  • Must be service oriented, self-motivated, dependable, possess excellent leadership skills, and customer service skills
  • Ability to perform various tasks on computers, including the use of Excel, Outlook, and Word is required
  • Proficiency in all aspects of the Distribution Center Management Software (WMS) or other systems in use at Distribution Centers
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situation
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals

For the state of Colorado only, the pay range is $90,000.00 to $115,000.00, depending upon qualifications, experience, and other considerations permitted by law. Commission/bonus plan: CSC Plan
