# Epic Training Lead – Epic-to-Epic Deployment
This is a contract that is over a year long.
## Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Epic Training Lead to lead all training activities for a large-scale Epic-to-Epic migration supporting the integration of Lancaster General Health into the Penn Medicine Epic environment. This individual will develop and execute the overall training strategy for a complex enterprise deployment, ensuring clinicians, operational staff, and leadership are fully prepared for a successful go-live.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience leading training for Epic implementations, Epic-to-Epic conversions, or major Epic deployments within large Academic Medical Centers (AMCs). This role requires expertise in adult learning, change management, curriculum development, training logistics, and the use of innovative learning technologies, including adaptive learning platforms and AI-driven knowledge management solutions.
## Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overall training strategy for a large-scale Epic-to-Epic deployment and enterprise go-live.
- Develop a comprehensive training plan aligned with project milestones, operational readiness, and go-live timelines.
- Evaluate and implement modern learning solutions, including adaptive learning platforms, AI-enabled knowledge centers, digital learning tools, and self-service education resources.
- Partner with executive leadership, clinical informatics, operational leaders, IT, and project management teams to ensure training aligns with organizational goals and workflow changes.
- Design role-based training curricula for physicians, nurses, ancillary departments, revenue cycle, and administrative staff.
- Oversee curriculum development, eLearning content, classroom instruction, virtual training, simulations, practice environments, and training documentation.
- Lead the Principal Trainer team and coordinate Credentialed Trainers, Super Users, and departmental training leads.
- Develop training governance, communication plans, competency validation processes, and readiness metrics.
- Monitor learner adoption through dashboards, assessments, completion tracking, and performance analytics.
- Coordinate dress rehearsals, integrated workflow simulations, and go-live readiness activities.
- Develop post-go-live optimization, refresher training, and continuous education strategies.
- Collaborate with change management teams to support user adoption and organizational readiness.
- Identify training risks, develop mitigation plans, and provide executive-level status reporting throughout the deployment.
Hourly range: $80 - $95. Factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, practice area, and other business and organizational needs.
