This position reports to:

Supply Chain Manager

The work model for the role is: Onsite, Fort Smith, AR

Your role and responsibilities:

  • Support daily operations and team leadership by guiding employees, assisting with supervision, conducting stand-up huddles, and serving as a resource to maintain positive employee relations.
  • Ensure production goals are met by monitoring workflow, maintaining production output, responding to operator issues and ANDON alerts, and escalating concerns or improvement opportunities.
  • Promote safety, efficiency, and resource management by helping oversee material utilization, identifying waste, ensuring injury protocols and reporting requirements are followed, and stepping into operational roles when staffing is short.
  • Drive communication and continuous improvement by providing shift reports, communicating improvement ideas to leadership, supporting problem-solving efforts, and performing additional duties or overtime as needed.

Qualifications for the role:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 1 Year of industrial or military experience, or vocational/technical education; motor manufacturing experience preferred. Prior leadership experience preferred with the ability to set high performance standards for self and others.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills: Effective communicator with strong analytical abilities, sound judgment, and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Adaptability and organization: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to change, with a willingness to cross-train and maintain a positive, team-focused attitude.
  • Technical and operational proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with strong technical skills and a focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Must pass a background and drug screen and have valid U.S. work authorization. Proficiency in reading, speaking, and writing English is essential for maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Regular attendance and availability for overtime are essential job functions.
