Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, procedures, and surgeries
• Restrain and handle animals safely and humanely during treatments
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure a clean, sanitized clinical environment
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
• Collect and process laboratory samples including blood draws and urinalysis
• Communicate with pet owners regarding care instructions and follow-up appointments
• Maintain accurate patient medical records and documentation

Requirements

• Prior experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting preferred
• Comfortable handling and restraining animals of all sizes and temperaments
• Knowledge of basic veterinary medical terminology and procedures
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
• Compassionate, dependable, and a true team player
• High school diploma or equivalent required; veterinary assistant certification a plus
