POSITION SUMMARY
Engineer will be involved in reading and implementing test standards as well as testing consumer products.
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Preparing and testing of consumer, medical and industrial products to current standards (ISTA, ASTM) and implement new standards as needed. Work with clients to set up customer-specific test plans
- Assists with compliance test setup and troubleshooting
- Coordinate with laboratory technicians and/or assistants on sample receiving, logging, pretreatment, Routine operation, maintenance, calibration, qualification, and trouble-shooting of laboratory equipment and instruments.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in the certification, testing industry. Preferred
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
- Language Skills: Advanced English
- Mathematical Skills: Intermediate
- Reasoning Skills/Abilities: Intermediate
- Great communication skills, with ability to interact with customers both written and verbal
- Familiar with operation of lab equipment including power supplies, signal generators and spectrum analyzers
- Capable of soldering and rework electronics and assemblies, capable of assembling systems and subsystems
- Good technical/mechanical skills/aptitude
- Work independently and with limited supervision
Compensation
The expected salary for this position is $32.00 per hour. This range represents the minimum and maximum base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this role. Actual compensation within the range will depend on skills, experience, and qualifications.
