# Preschool Teacher – Early Childhood Education
Location: The Learning Experience – Canton, MI Pay: $17–$20 per hour (based on experience and credentials) Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
The Learning Experience – Canton is seeking an enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to create an engaging classroom where children build confidence, independence, friendships, and early school-readiness skills.
We're looking for an educator who enjoys making learning meaningful through hands-on activities, purposeful play, and consistent classroom routines.
What You'll Do
- Lead engaging preschool learning activities and daily routines
- Support early literacy, math, language, and social-emotional development
- Encourage independence, problem-solving, and positive peer relationships
- Guide children through learning centers, meals, outdoor play, rest time, and transitions
- Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom
- Communicate regularly with families
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and center leadership
- Follow Michigan childcare licensing requirements
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous preschool, daycare, or childcare experience preferred
- CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Dependable, nurturing, and team-oriented
- Must meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements
