## Job Description

DPR Construction is seeking experienced Commercial Door Installers to support our self-perform operations in Denver, CO. Qualified candidates should have at least two years of commercial door installation or related DFH experience and be committed to delivering high-quality work while contributing to a safe, productive team environment.

This is primarily a jobsite installation position. The field installer will focus on safely handling, hanging, aligning, adjusting, and completing the installation of commercial doors.

The position is posted in Denver, and qualified candidates who live in Colorado Springs are encouraged to apply. Project location and reporting expectations will be discussed during the hiring process.

## Responsibilities:

  • Safely receive, stage, handle, and install commercial doors at active construction jobsites.
  • Read and interpret plans, door schedules, details, diagrams, templates, and manufacturer installation instructions.
  • Install shop-prepared commercial doors accurately and efficiently.
  • Complete limited field hardware adjustments or finish work when required.
  • Follow the established door-hanging sequence for each project.
  • Verify door handing, swing, clearances, alignment, degree of opening, and proper operation.
  • Adjust doors to ensure proper fit, function, and appearance.
  • Handle prefinished doors carefully to prevent scratches, dents, and other damage.
  • Perform minor cosmetic repairs to dents or dings using body filler, such as Bondo, when appropriate.
  • Properly use hand tools, battery-powered drills, and other installation equipment.
  • Use the appropriate touch and torque to avoid stripping finish screws, damaging finishes, or overtightening fasteners.
  • Inspect completed work and correct installation or punch-list items as needed.
  • Coordinate with foremen, shop personnel, and other trades to maintain workflow and production.

## Qualifications:

  • At least two years of commercial door installation, DFH, finish carpentry, or closely related experience.
  • Experience installing commercial doors in active construction environments.
  • Ability to read construction plans, details, door schedules, templates, and manufacturer literature.
  • Understanding of door handing, swing, opening requirements, clearances, and installation sequencing.
  • Experience working with prefinished doors and shop-prepared door assemblies.
  • Ability to identify and complete common door adjustments.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, battery-powered drills, and standard door-installation equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finished work.
  • Ability to work productively as part of a field installation team.
  • Ability to safely perform the physical responsibilities of a jobsite installation position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Anticipated starting pay range:
