Full job description
- Works closely with Career Advisors to identify WIOA customers who are strong candidates for direct job placement and On-the-Job Training (OJT) opportunities.
- Engages employers to promote WIOA services and creates pipelines for OJT agreements and placements.
- Identifies new business development opportunities and employer partners to increase job placements and expand OJT opportunities.
- Enhances the program’s visibility through networking, employer outreach, industry association participation, and community partnerships.
- Coordinates recruitment efforts such as job fairs, hiring events, and employer-led information sessions to connect job seekers with immediate employment opportunities.
- Conducts employer site visits to assess workplace environments, understand workforce needs, and determine appropriate OJT or placement matches.
- Maintains strong knowledge of regional labor market trends to support strategic job matching and career pathway development for participants.
- Ensures compliance with all WIOA regulations, policies, and procedures when coordinating employer services, OJT agreements, and participant placements.
- Prepares accurate documentation, employer contact notes, and placement updates in the WorkSource Georgia Portal in a timely manner.
- Collaborates with the Project Director and team to identify system improvements that strengthen business engagement and placement outcomes.
- Participates in work groups, community meetings, and special projects that support employer engagement and workforce development initiatives.
- Provides support and guidance to internal staff on employer expectations, job readiness requirements, and the OJT process to ensure smooth participant referrals.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support employer partnerships, participant job placement, and overall program performance.
- Work closely with Workforce Specialists, Follow-Up Staff, and TCSG Employment Services to gather updates relevant to WIOA performance.
- Make referrals to employment services when follow-up reveals additional employment support needs.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and professional case notes in the WorkSource Georgia Portal reflecting all verification efforts.
- Document services, contacts, and outcomes within 72 hours of completion.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Associate degree required in Business, Human Services, Marketing, Workforce Development, or a related field.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in workforce development, business services, employer relations, staffing/recruiting, or a related customer‐facing role.
- Understanding of WIOA programs, employer services, and work-based learning models (e.g. OJT, apprenticeships).
- Strong communication and relationship‐building skills for engaging employers, community partners, and job seekers.
- Ability to match job seekers to employment opportunities based on skills, interests, and employer requirements.
- Experience conducting outreach, coordinating hiring events, or supporting employer recruitment needs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfort using case management or CRM systems.
- Strong organizational and time‐management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple employer accounts.
- Ability to work independently, travel locally, and interact professionally with diverse business and community partners.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and follow federal, state, and local program guidelines.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Prior experience working with WIOA Adult, Dislocated Worker, or Youth programs.
- Experience developing OJT contracts or employer partnerships.
- Familiarity with labor market information (LMI) and regional workforce trends.
- Experience using the WorkSource Georgia Portal or other workforce case management systems
