Meet Our Team:

Tim Harrington, Managing Director:

• Time with NM: Joined Northwestern Mutual in 2021 as a Growth and Development Director and transitioned to Managing Director after nine months.

• Previous experience: Owned and managed a consulting business, with experience as a speaker, coach, and consultant before joining Northwestern Mutual.

• Passionate about: Tim lives in Eldridge with his wife, Lindsay, and their six children. He enjoys volunteering for youth sports, spending quality time with his family, watching his kids compete, and traveling.

Scott Fischer, Financial Advisor & Growth and Development Director:

• Time with NM: Joined Northwestern Mutual in 2007 as an intern in one of the firm's Florida offices and now serves as both a Financial Advisor and Growth and Development Director.

• Previous experience: Earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Jacksonville University before beginning his career with Northwestern Mutual through the internship program.

• Passionate about: Scott and his wife, Krista, have four sons and recently moved back to their hometown of Sterling, Illinois, to be closer to family. Outside of work, he enjoys coaching his sons' sports teams, golfing, volunteering, attending church, and spending time with his family.

Alanna Rumler-Akre, Financial Advisor:

• Time with NM: 11 years.

• Previous experience: Began her career with Northwestern Mutual through the college internship program. She is now a Certified Financial PlannerTM (CFP®) and Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®).

• Passionate about: Alanna enjoys golfing, boating, and spending time with friends and family. She loves making memories with her husband, Lane, and their three boys, and previously served on the board of Lead(h)er.

Brooke Keck, Talent Acquisition:

• Time with NM: 3 years.

• Previous experience: Worked in real estate sales and mortgage lending before transitioning into Talent Acquisition with Northwestern Mutual in 2022.

• Passionate about: Brooke enjoys spending time with her husband, Matt, and their young son. Outside of work, she loves working out, tackling home renovation projects, and taking long walks around Costco. She also serves as Board President of Dress for Success Quad Cities and regularly volunteers with Lead(h)er.
