As an AbbVie intern, you will participate in a paid, eleven-week summer program, working on meaningful assignments that have a true impact on our business and patients. Human Resources Leadership Development Program Internship examples include Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Employee Workplace Relations, Learning & Leadership Development, Talent Management and Business Human Resources. Assignments are carefully selected to provide a meaningful development experience, incorporating technical knowledge, analytical strength, and creative problem solving. Throughout the summer, there are planned in-person and virtual development and networking activities.
Human Resources interns are assigned to our Lake County, IL location (north suburban Chicago) and supported by AbbVie-sponsored relocation and travel benefits for eligible students.
AbbVie strongly considers high performing interns as candidates for the Human Resources Leadership Development Program (HRLDP). AbbVie’s HRLDP is a three-year accelerated development program with assignments in Business HR, Global Talent and Center of Excellence assignments. This program is constructed to develop strong Human Resources functional knowledge and leadership capabilities by working within business functions and on a wide range of projects across multiple business units.
Basic Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited Master’s program, with an emphasis in Human Resources graduating between Dec 2027 - June 2028
- Must be enrolled in an accredited Master’s program for at least one additional semester following your internship
- Previous internship in Human Resources or related experience required
