About The Opportunity
To take raw materials, and additives per process sheets and mix the correct materials together in the correct proportions. Keep all machines stocked with material.Responsibilities and Duties:
- Incorporate regrind in correct % and keep grinders clean.
- Have all materials correctly labeled. Identify correct quantities of
- material to be mixed for the job. Log material lot #’s on to P-charts.
- Make sure regrind is used from stock.
- Relieve operators for breaks.
- Keep foreman advised of any shortages of materials needed.
- Keep dryers full and set at correct temperature for material being dried.
- Keep all mixing and loading areas clean.
- Cut and grind scrap that can not be ground at molding machines.
- Keep foreman advised of any machine producing excessive scrap.
- Drive hi-lo to move materials (must pass test).
- Responsible for adhering to all manufacturing & company policy & procedures.
- Performs miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as directed.
- Empowerment to take responsibility for the quality of work performed.
Quality Requirements:
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Physical Attributes:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Loading and mixing material is a demanding job. An individual could mix up to 6,000 pounds per shift.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and extreme heat. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and in outside weather conditions.
