Job Description
The Planning & Execution Team Member II is responsible for the flow of work through the machine shop and oversees requests for outsourcing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Create and release manufactured parts out of MRP and schedules all work requests.
- Schedule and expedite late releases and monitor changes to requests.
- Release and schedule manufactured warranty requests.
- Work in conjunction with manufacturing to optimize capacity in the machine shop for core work.
- Level load all work centers in the machine shop.
- Route and schedule engineering change notices.
- Determine best machining practices and what can be reworked, then route and schedule internal and external manufactured requests (Backup/Support)
- Serve as a technical resource for the manufacturing team and customers on manufactured parts (Backup/Support)
- Effectively communicate with internal customers on the status of manufactured parts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Associate degree in machine tool/fabrication technology or a related field and three years of related experience, or a high school diploma/GED and five years of manufacturing experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of raw material types and machining principles.
- Knowledge of machining processes such as chrome/nickel plating, hardening, and stress relieving.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Metallurgical knowledge is a plus.
- Knowledge of XA and MRP are desired.

- Lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs. occasionally, >20 lbs. frequently
- Typically sits, grasps items or performs keyboarding for occasional operation of a computer
- Exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards which may require respiratory protection
