Staff Product Manager, Networking at CRUSOE — San Francisco, CA
Full job description
About This Role:
Crusoe is building the infrastructure layer that powers the most demanding AI workloads on the planet. Our networking stack is what connects thousands of GPUs into the high-performance clusters that some of the biggest names in AI rely on to train and run their models. As a Staff Product Manager on our Cloud Infrastructure team, you will own the networking product roadmap and shape how customers experience performance, reliability, and scale.
This is a customer-obsessed role. You will spend real time with the engineers and infrastructure teams building on Crusoe Cloud, understand what is slowing them down or holding them back, and translate that into a product strategy that wins more of our business. You will work closely with Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Software Engineering, SRE, Finance, and our executive team to turn customer insight into a networking platform that is faster, more flexible, and easier to build on. This is a full-time role for someone who wants their work to directly shape the future of AI compute.
What You'll Be Working On:
- Customer discovery and advocacy: Build deep relationships with customers to understand their networking needs, pain points, and growth plans, and act as their voice inside Crusoe.
- Roadmap ownership: Own and prioritize the networking product roadmap, balancing customer requests, technical feasibility, and business impact.
- Product strategy: Define the long-term vision for Crusoe's networking offerings, including cluster networking, SDN, and RDMA fabrics, to keep pace with the needs of AI training and inference at scale.
- Cross-functional leadership: Partner with Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Software Engineering, and SRE to define technical specifications, execution timelines, and economics.
- Executive communication: Distill complex technical tradeoffs into clear, compelling narratives and decision docs for company leadership.
- Market and competitive analysis: Track industry trends in cloud networking and translate them into concrete opportunities for Crusoe to differentiate.
- Go-to-market support: Work with sales and marketing to position networking capabilities in a way that resonates with customers and drives new business.
- Product documentation: Create and maintain documentation that helps customers understand and get the most out of Crusoe's networking capabilities.
What You'll Bring to the Team:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- 8+ years of technical product management experience, or product-minded engineering experience, with a track record of owning outcomes at Staff or Group PM scope.
- Strong customer orientation, with experience gathering and synthesizing customer feedback into product decisions that grow revenue and retention.
- In-depth understanding of cloud technologies, platforms, and services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
- Experience building and launching networking products.
- Proven ability to define and scope ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives with minimal guidance.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to inform decision-making.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across engineering, finance, and executive teams.
Bonus Points:
- Direct technical experience working with networking hardware and protocols.
