### Lead the Team That Keeps Our Operation Running
At Prestage Foods of Iowa, our Maintenance Supervisors play a critical role in keeping our facility operating safely, efficiently, and at peak performance. In this leadership role, you will guide a skilled team of maintenance professionals responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting production success.
This off-shift opportunity is ideal for a hands-on leader who enjoys solving problems, developing people, and making a direct impact on plant performance.
### What You’ll Do
### Drive Equipment Reliability & Operational Performance
- Lead daily maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime and production efficiency.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Develop proactive maintenance strategies that reduce downtime and improve reliability.
- Monitor maintenance performance metrics and continuously seek opportunities for improvement.
### Lead & Develop a High-Performing Team
- Supervise, coach, and develop maintenance technicians to build technical expertise and accountability.
- Conduct training, performance evaluations, and ongoing employee development activities.
- Foster a positive work environment focused on teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure safe work practices and compliance with company policies and procedures.
### Manage Preventive Maintenance Programs
- Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance activities to maximize equipment life and performance.
- Coordinate equipment repairs, maintenance schedules, and critical spare parts inventory.
- Partner with Engineering and Operations teams to prioritize maintenance projects and improvements.
- Support capital projects, equipment installations, and process optimization efforts.
### Enhance Maintenance Systems & Processes
- Utilize and improve the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage work orders, maintenance records, and asset history.
- Establish and monitor key maintenance KPIs, including:
o Preventive Maintenance Compliance
o Equipment Downtime
o Asset Utilization
o Maintenance Costs
o Work Order Completion Rates
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and reliability.
### Collaborate Across the Organization
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, Safety, and Quality teams to support operational goals.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers as needed.
- Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization to ensure alignment and execution.
### Champion Safety & Compliance
- Promote and maintain a safety-first culture throughout all maintenance operations.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and food manufacturing standards.
- Participate in Safety Management and Risk Management programs.
- Lead investigations and corrective actions related to maintenance and safety incidents.
### Qualifications
### Required
- Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, food processing, or industrial environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
- Ability to work flexible hours in an off-shift environment.
### Preferred
- Associate degree, technical certification, or formal trade school training.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
- Experience with CMMS software.
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Experience in food manufacturing or protein processing environments.

### Physical & Work Environment
- Regular standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
