## Job Summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a highly experienced Cloud-Native Architect with 10+ years of software engineering experience, including extensive experience designing cloud-native platforms and distributed systems. The ideal candidate will lead the architecture and modernization of enterprise-scale applications using microservices, Kubernetes, container platforms, and cloud-native technologies while driving engineering standards, platform strategy, and technical excellence across multiple teams.

## Key Responsibilities

  • Define enterprise-wide microservices architecture standards, service boundaries, and domain-driven design (DDD) principles.
  • Lead the modernization of legacy monolithic applications into scalable, independently deployable cloud-native services.
  • Design secure, resilient, and highly available distributed systems using REST APIs, gRPC, asynchronous messaging, and event-driven architectures.
  • Establish API governance, schema management, versioning strategies, and service lifecycle best practices.
  • Architect resilient systems using patterns such as circuit breakers, retries, bulkheads, graceful degradation, Saga, CQRS, Event Sourcing, and Outbox.
  • Define data ownership strategies, distributed transaction models, and scalable persistence architectures.
  • Design and implement cloud-native platform capabilities, including Kubernetes, service mesh, API gateways, identity management, observability, and platform automation.
  • Drive performance engineering, scalability planning, capacity management, and system reliability across mission-critical services.
  • Establish CI/CD, GitOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automated testing, and deployment strategies for cloud-native applications.
  • Define enterprise observability standards leveraging distributed tracing, centralized logging, metrics, dashboards, and SLO/SLI-based monitoring.
  • Partner with security teams to implement Zero Trust architecture, secrets management, runtime security, compliance, and cloud governance.
  • Lead architecture reviews, technical design sessions, and technology evaluations across multiple engineering organizations.
  • Mentor architects, technical leads, and senior engineers while promoting cloud-native engineering best practices.
  • Evaluate emerging cloud-native technologies and recommend strategic adoption based on business value and technical maturity.

## Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant experience in software architecture and cloud-native solution design.
  • Deep expertise in microservices architecture, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), distributed systems, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, Docker, and cloud-native platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in one or more backend programming languages such as Java, Go, C#, or Python.
  • Strong knowledge of API design, asynchronous messaging, event streaming technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, or similar), and distributed application architecture.
  • Experience designing and operating highly available, latency-sensitive production systems at enterprise scale.
  • Strong expertise with at least one major cloud platform, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, or Bicep.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and technical mentoring skills.

## Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs) and platform engineering capabilities.
  • Hands-on experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio, Linkerd, Envoy, or Consul Connect.
  • Knowledge of GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux.
  • Experience with FinOps, cloud governance, and enterprise cloud cost optimization.
  • Public speaking, open-source leadership, published technical content, or conference presentations.
  • Experience working in regulated industries such as Healthcare, Financial Services, Insurance, or Government.
