Position Responsibilities:
Shipping:
- Print Daily/weekly Shipment Report to review and plan out requirements and identify any unforeseen challenges.
- Review and plan each day’s capacity and requirements with shipping team.
- Communicate with leadership any concerns or obstacles that may prevent issues with planned shipments.
- Prepare kits and parts for that day’s shipments, in accordance with customer’s orders and where time/capacity permits, prepare for the next day’s/ week’s schedule.
- MDC packaging documents are being utilized when packing products to ensure the latest document is being implemented.
- Collaborate with the team and support the challenges that may present themselves throughout the day/ week.
- Attend the daily TM (touch meetings) and participate by presenting countermeasures to the challenges that present themselves.
- Cross train on current products, new products and processes that support Vante’s success.
- Properly identify the racking locations and be consistent locating product in its’ designated area.
- Ensure that non-stock inventory is maintained above reorder point. Communicate accordingly and on a timely basis, the reorder quantity.
- Print and distribute the end of day Shipment report.
- Review the Shipping metrics on a regular basis and understand the impact of these metrics.
- When something unplanned ships late, provide status and root cause to support countermeasures.
- Maintain mezzanine area cleaned and organized.
- Keep aisle and designated areas organized and cleared of any safety hazard. (Especially the staircase)
- Participate and realize ownership when it comes to Physical Inventories or cycle counts.
- Ensure that the shipping area is maintained throughout the day.
- Alternate on weekly basis, to support the late pickups from carriers.
- Work with FEDEX, UPS, DHL on periodic customs issues.
- Other duties may be assigned as required.
Inventory
- Kitting assembly jobs and noting lot trace, serial number data on BOM worksheet. Properly identifying and communicating shortages.
- Physically stock parts from the PTS shelf and store them in bin locations, review, and fill shortages.
- Noting bulk location on bin card if stored in bulk area. Always attempt to keep same part number in same bulk location.
- Perform daily, regular cycle count functions. Including transactions in the ERP system.
- Investigate and report all discrepancies found during daily activity.
- Communicate inventory balance and shortages to the leader.
- Ensure that transactions are performed daily using the ERP system.
Receiving
- Verify incoming material is not damaged and physical count matches P/L and PO quantity.
- Receive RMA’s and properly tag equipment. Communicate once RMA is ready to be moved to AM.
- Responsible for contacting the supplier directly (if applicable) and communicating to procurement if any problem or discrepancy is found and keeping careful records.
- Remove and dispose of packaging material.
Position Tasks
- Count, weigh, or measure items of incoming shipments to verify information against invoices, purchase orders, bills of lading or other records.
- Unpack and examine incoming shipments; record shortages and reject damaged items.
- Route items to various departments.
- Examine incoming shipments to ensure they meet specifications.
- Sort, count, identify, verify, and track all material by utilizing the system to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Verify receipts and log them according to required procedures.
- Investigate and resolve situations where physical count does not match the system count.
- Regularly enter inventory data into the system on a timely basis.
- Cooperate with associates from other departments in the organization to provide stockroom information as requested.
- Perform regular material stockroom audits to ensure that material is undamaged and maintained neatly throughout the warehouse.
- Advise leadership of cycle count issues on a timely basis.
- Ensure that all documents and material received in the warehouse are of satisfactory quality.
- Maintains order and cleanliness to protect important characteristics of stock.
- Sorts parts into storage bins and maintains records of stock on hand. Pulls correct volume and type of part to include in kits for production, according to bills of material or kit lists.
- Maintain accurate records of stock on-hand and participate in periodic counts to verify records. May assist in calculating value of inventory.
- Pull finished goods and prepare for shipment in accordance with customers’ orders and regulatory requirements.
- Assists shipping department with packaging products in accordance with established procedures for shipment to customers.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school graduate. Minimum of six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, shipping orders, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, auditors and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk. The employee frequently is required to stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, keyboards, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
