Full job description
*Position Summary*
We are seeking an experienced Business Development / Sales Representative to drive growth for our commercial flooring division. This role is responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new flooring installation opportunities with general contractors, developers, property managers, healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and other commercial clients.
*Key Responsibilities*
Develop and maintain relationships with general contractors, developers, architects, property managers, and decision-makers.
Identify and pursue commercial flooring installation opportunities.
Generate leads through networking, industry events, cold calling, referrals, and existing relationships.
Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and project estimates.
Collaborate with estimating, project management, and operations teams to ensure successful project execution.
Maintain an active pipeline of opportunities and provide regular sales forecasts.
Track project opportunities from bidding through contract award.
Meet or exceed established sales and revenue goals.
*Required Qualifications*
Proven track record of successful sales and business development within the construction industry.
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in commercial construction sales, flooring sales, or a related trade.
Demonstrated history of generating and closing commercial projects.
Existing relationships with general contractors, developers, property managers, or commercial construction decision-makers.
Strong understanding of the commercial construction bidding process.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a sales pipeline.
*Preferred Qualifications*
Experience selling commercial flooring installations.
Knowledge of healthcare, education, multifamily, retail, office, and industrial construction markets.
*Compensation*
Base salary plus commission.
Commission structure tied to awarded projects and revenue generated.
Uncapped earning potential for high performers.
*Ideal Candidate*
The ideal candidate has a proven record of bringing in commercial construction projects, understands the flooring industry, and can leverage existing relationships to consistently generate installation opportunities and grow revenue
