DSD Route Sales Representative – Ice Cream & Frozen Foods

*Job Summary*

Responsible for selling, delivering, merchandising, and servicing ice cream and frozen food products within an assigned route.

*Key Responsibilities*

• Deliver and merchandise products at customer locations.
• Grow sales within existing accounts and open new accounts.
• Collect payments and maintain accurate records.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain company vehicle and equipment.

*Requirement*

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong communication and sales skills.
• DSD, food distribution, or merchandising experience preferred.
• Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and route vehicles.
• Bilingual English/Spanish or English.
• Knowledge of route accounting systems.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, and walking.
• Work in various weather conditions.

*Route Operations*

• Deliver ice cream and frozen products to retail stores according to assigned route schedule.
• Load and unload products safely while maintaining cold-chain integrity.
• Rotate inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
• Verify deliveries against invoices and obtain customer signatures.
• Stock and organize freezer displays.
• Ensure products are properly faced and visible.
• Remove damaged, expired, or unsellable products.
• Maintain company merchandising standards.
• Collect COD payments when applicable.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and invoices.
• Submit route paperwork and reports daily.
• Use mobile sales and route management software.

*Compensation*

Base Pay + Commission

Moving allowance

For out of town - Hotel, Food and Meal paid

*Schedule*

• 10 hours shift
• Monday–Friday (occasional weekends during peak season).
