Electrical Engineer IV

AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer IV in New York, NY.

Job Details:

• Support the design and analysis of traction power distribution systems, including substations, overhead catenary systems, and third rail systems
• Support the development of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment layouts using CAD software
• Perform calculations related to voltage drop, current flow, and power system performance
• Assist in the preparation of technical reports, specifications, and construction documents
• Conduct field inspections and site visits to gather data and observe construction activities
• Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings and documentation
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and codes

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field of study and 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Position requires experience in the following:

• Electrical Power Distribution
• Voltage Drop Calculation
• Electrified rail transit systems, including AC and DC systems
• Traction power AC and DC High and Low Voltage systems, including relaying, rectifier, distribution, and SCADA equipment
• AREMA and IEEE standards for Traction Power design
• Revit, Auto-CAD, and Microstation
• OpenBuildings
• Agi32
• ETAP
• SKM
