Responsibilities

  • Independently plan and perform method development, validation, execution, and assessment of results.
  • Resolve and troubleshoot routine scientific and technical issues independently.
  • Evaluate new technologies to solve scientific challenges or improve technological capabilities.
  • Understand and execute established techniques independently.
  • Document experimental activities and results in a GMP compliant fashion using an electronic data acquisition and management systems.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in numerous scientific software applications to collect, process, and report data.
  • Prepare protocols and reports as well as quality, safety, and regulatory documents.
  • Interact directly with partners outside the department with minimum oversight.
  • Present results and actively engage with local and global teams.
  • Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding code of conduct, safety, appropriate handling of materials, and GxP compliance, where applicable.
  • Bachelors in Chemistry, Chemical Biology, or equivalent education with 5+ years of experience or Master’s Degree or equivalent with 2+ years of experience.
  • Practical knowledge of modern peptide manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with chemical biology fundamentals and related analytical techniques including recombinant protein expression and purification, cell culture, immunoassays, and gels.
  • Understanding of cGMP and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in analytical techniques relevant to peptide product development including mass spectrometry, amino acid analysis, advanced separation techniques, and higher-order structure studies.
  • Self-motivated, hard-working, detail-oriented individual able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • High-quality written and oral communication skills and ability to interact effectively with interdisciplinary scientists and engineers.
