Associate Director, Marketing Research - Rheumatology
Full job description
The Associate Director of Market Research will act as a strategic partner for the Rheumatology Commercial team, with a focus on driving growth for the Rheumatology RA business including AbbVie’ Omni-Channel Pilot (Project LOOP). This associate will design and implement a thorough Learning Plan to build the team’s foundational understanding of the Market. These learnings, along with strong Business Acumen are required to successfully partner with Marketing around key decisions in areas such as Positioning, Targeting, Campaign, Brand Story, and Interactive Sales Aid development. The ability to influence decisions based upon thorough insights, strategic thinking and understanding the business is critical to success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as intelligence partner across RA Marketing and the Cross Functional Team, focused on providing strategic insights, forming a trusted relationship, and highlight burgeoning trends within the space.
- Perform thought-provoking and sophisticated syntheses of learning across market research, analytics, and competitive intelligence sources to develop actionable insights and recommendations that shape strategies and tactics.
- Maintain organizational knowledge of the market, competitive trends, and industry developments and effectively communicate this knowledge to internal stakeholders.
- Be conversant with custom research methods, adept at supplier and stakeholder management.
- Build solid relationships as a team player, while maintaining objectivity and lack of bias to represent the voice of the customer.
- Demonstrate thoughtful confidence in presentation of learnings across all levels of the organization.
- BA or BS degree required. Advanced degree (MA, MS, MBA, PhD) preferred.
- ~10 years relevant market research experience required.
- Experience in pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
- Analytical reasoning abilities, intellectual curiosity, strong business acumen, superior organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and creativity in problem-solving.
- Ability to interact effectively with/present to (verbally and in writing) all levels of the organization.
- Proven experience as an integral member of a high-performing work team.
- Experience with and strong aptitude navigating a heavily matrixed and fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively cross-functionally within the organization and with external agencies.

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location,and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
