Full job description
Asphalt Specialties is currently seeking an experienced *Outside Sales Aggregate Representative*. This position is responsible for sand, gravel and rock aggregate and recycled material sales, account management, project bidding and promotion of Asphalt Specialties Co., Inc. for the northern front range from Cheyenne to Denver. The successful candidate will be able to maintain current customer base, while developing and expanding new customers to drive increased sales volume.
*Summary: * The successful candidate will successfully market aggregate materials to our existing customer base while identifying and developing new customers, generating sales, pursue new market opportunities, and develop effective business relationships.
The basic responsibilities of Aggregate Sales Representative include, but not limited to the following:
- Sell products to business/industrial establishments and individuals utilizing product knowledge of aggregates used in construction.
- Retain existing customer base and market share while also seeking additional opportunities for expanding customer base and increased market opportunities.
- Bid civil and related construction projects in assigned geographic territory.
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure customer expectations are being met.
- Manage customer accounts to include sales, aging and collections.
- Analyze market trends and develop plans to capitalize on shifts in the market.
- Effectively communicate and establish positive working relationships with other departments, including upper management, accounting, and production.
*Qualifications: *
- 3+ years’ experience and success in sales environment
- Aggregate industry experience preferred; knowledge of civil and general construction required.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or University; or equivalent industry training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be goal oriented, self-motivated, and have strong organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, owners, and suppliers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiently use a computer and programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook as well as JWS
- Must cold call or make direct contact in pursuit of new customers.
- Maintain valid driver’s license and suitable motor vehicle record.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
