Job Description
RESPEC is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer / Business Development (Structural) to join our engineering team in our Denver, Colorado office. This role is responsible for a combination of strategic business development and senior engineering. Utilizing a strategic mindset, the Senior Engineer steps confidently into client-facing conversations while successfully balancing a variety of projects. RESPEC is 100% employee-owned and this individual will join a collaborative group of fellow owners in tackling complex project challenges.
This role will focus on:
Develop, build, and manage relationships with strategic partners and customers, both public and private, to build a pipeline of projects. Maintain current client relationships and facilitate continued joint project opportunities Identify pursuits and position market sector to secure new business in existing and new markets Work with other internal market sectors to develop joint pursuits and encourage cross selling to existing clients Other duties as assigned/commensurate with a senior engineer role
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate enjoys working with a team and diving into new challenges, and will have the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited institution, with focus on Structural Design Professional Civil Engineer License Experience leading strategic business development initiatives in a structural engineering firm 10 -15+ years of progressive structural engineering practice Experience leading and managing a team of engineers Experience presenting engineering-related items to clients, boards, public officials, and other outside stakeholders
Additional Preferred Experience/Skills:
M.S., Civil Engineering from an accredited institution, with focus on Structural Design Professional Structural Engineering License Experience with Quality Control reviews of structural drawings and specifications Project management experience and prior construction experience Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, REVIT, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Established NCEES Record
Additional Information
Compensation and Benefits: Salary depends on experience and expertise. The typical salary range for this position is $140,000-$160,000. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package. RESPEC is a 100 percent employee-owned company, and employees are eligible for participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) after a qualifying period.
