Summary Accurately pulls parts or puts away stock, moves stock to appropriate locations and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ability to accurately verify information (part number) against pallet content sheets, orders, or other records.
- Affix shipping labels on packed cartons identifying shipping information on cartons.
- Accurately pull product from shelf or manufacturing and ensure cartons are labeled correctly.
- Ability to read, understand and complete shipping documents including completing bills of lading on-line and operating UPS computer.
- Ability to maintain accurate inventory by ensuring procedures are followed when pulling orders and moving product.
- Understand and accurately use scanners to move product and bill orders.
- Accurately receive in products and complete required paperwork.
- Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
- Safely operate fork lift truck or palletjack to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
- Able to work flexible hours to ensure orders are shipped before leaving for the day.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to three years related experience and/or training – preferred to be in a manufacturing/distribution environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
Experience using computers for data entry and email.
Other Qualifications
Must be able to pass a driver's exam to operate a forklift. Must have valid driver’s license to drive company vehicles. Must pass a physical exam for lifting 25 pounds to 60 pounds – 40+ pounds 30% of the day. Must be able to work late when needed to ensure all shipments are complete.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk, hear, reach with hands and arms and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and /or move 25 to 60 pounds (30% of the time lifting 40+ pounds). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision. Must be able to regularly operate a forklift and other mobile equipment up to 60% of the time.
