Window and Door Field Service Technician – Fort Pierce, FL
The Field Service Technician represents MITER Brands in a professional manner while diagnosing product repair issues and implementing effective solutions for customers. This role requires strong technical skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to perform service and repair work on windows and doors while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Compensation: $21.00–$26.00 per hour
Hours: Monday–Friday, starting at 6:00 a.m.
Overtime: Overtime is mandatory as needed based on business demands and customer service requirements.

Responsibilities
- Professionally represent the company while delivering exceptional customer service at all times.
- Communicate directly with customers at job sites and residential locations to diagnose and resolve product issues.
- Troubleshoot, adjust, repair, and service window and door products.
- Assist senior technicians with service work, material handling, and job-site support.
- Safely operate and maintain hand and power tools.
- Ensure all service work is performed according to quality and safety standards.
- Clean installed products at customer locations as needed.
- Document service calls, including observations, actions taken, and repair outcomes using mobile devices such as iPads and laptops.
- Submit accurate and timely service reports using company software.
- Ensure customer residences and job sites are returned to their original condition upon completion of service.
- Pick up and deliver parts between the warehouse, manufacturing facility, and customer job sites.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels in service vehicles and warehouse locations.
- Inspect incoming parts for quality compliance and coordinate replacement of non-conforming materials.
- Assist with warehouse organization and unloading delivery trucks as needed.
- Maintain service vehicles in a safe, clean, and properly functioning condition.
- Work collaboratively with other Field Service Technicians on projects requiring multiple team members.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Team Leaders or senior technicians.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Some working knowledge of windows and doors.
- Experience performing service, repair, installation, construction, or related field work preferred.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve product issues effectively.
- Experience working in customer-facing environments.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, correspondence, and work orders.
- Proficiency with mobile devices, service software, Microsoft Outlook, and Windows-based applications.
- Ability to accurately measure and read a tape measure.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record in accordance with company policy.
- Ability to obtain Aerial Lift Certification within six months of employment.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and transport materials, parts, and equipment as required.
- Ability to work in residential, commercial, and construction environments.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety practices and procedures.
Communication Skills
- Basic English proficiency required (written and verbal).
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers, builders, distributors, and internal team members.
- Ability to prepare accurate written documentation and service notes.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred and may be beneficial when supporting Spanish-speaking customers.

- Works independently and collaboratively with field service teams.
- Regular use of mobile devices for scheduling, documentation, reporting, and communication.
- Demonstrates sound judgment and escalates complex or high-risk situations appropriately.
