Performs general maintenance and basic repair of various equipment, facilities and appliances. Ensures work areas are cleaned. Addresses minor maintenance related incidents such as minor spills. Troubleshoots and escalates more complex repairs and maintenance to senior coworkers. Typically has 0-2 years of experience and works under close supervision. We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to support facility operations by maintaining and repairing equipment, systems, and infrastructure. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician who enjoys troubleshooting, working with their hands, and ensuring a safe, efficient operation.
What You’ll Do
This role is responsible for maintaining plant equipment and ensuring facility systems operate safely and efficiently.
Equipment Maintenance & Repair
- Perform preventative maintenance (PM) and inspections (daily, weekly, monthly, annual)
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment including forklifts, compressors, blast equipment, motors, and drives
- Maintain and repair HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Perform lubrication, oil changes, and mechanical repairs on plant equipment
- Support maintenance of diesel and gas-powered equipment
Facility & Operations Support
- Complete general facility maintenance (lighting, filters, minor repairs, snow/debris removal)
- Perform custodial duties including cleaning, waste disposal, and maintaining common areas
- Participate in daily production meetings and communicate equipment status and priorities
- Conduct 5S inspections and help maintain an organized, clean work environment
Safety, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Follow all safety policies and use required PPE at all times
- Support EHS and Quality programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulations
- Participate in safety inspections and Safety Committee activities
- Coordinate with vendors and support facility maintenance projects
- Identify and recommend improvements to equipment and facility operations

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined technician who takes pride in safety and quality.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years of maintenance or related experience
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to read basic drawings and perform basic math
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Preferred:
- Experience in industrial, rail, or manufacturing environments
- Welding experience or equipment diagnostics experience
- Experience maintaining diesel and gas-powered equipment
Work Environment:
- Majority of time spent in an industrial shop environment
- Exposure to noise, equipment, and varying indoor/outdoor temperatures
- Physical work including lifting (up to 50 lbs.), climbing, and standing for extended periods
- Work at heights, in confined spaces, and on uneven surfaces
- Use of PPE including respirators, hearing protection, and safety equipment

Pay Range:
25.88 - 31.63
