Job Description

General Objectives:

Reporting to the mobile maintenance Shift Supervisor, the Maintenance Parts Expeditor typically works a rotating 5-4 schedule.  The role of the Maintenance Parts Expeditor is intended to focus on managing maintenance parts in support of the maintenance department and improving equipment reliability.

Key Areas of Responsibilities & Duties:

The key responsibilities of the Maintenance Parts Expeditor include, but are not limited to the following:

• Play a key role in kitting and staging of maintenance parts for planned work
• Supporting maintenance supervisors in the purchase of hotshot parts for unplanned and emergency repairs
• Working with maintenance supervisors and warehouse staff to deal with unused parts following the completion of maintenance jobs
• Ensuring that all parts issued from the warehouse for maintenance jobs are recorded and issued correctly
• Assists mechanics with locating and issuing parts from warehouse inventory
• Coordinate with shift supervisor on daily equipment parts staging
• Performs duties and activities in a manner that conforms to all safety practices and other policies, procedures and standards that are established by the company or required by law
• Keeps warehouse areas in a clean, safe and orderly manner
• Perform oil analysis and report on findings to reliability engineer
• Perform simple maintenance on oil analysis machine
• Performs additional duties as required

Required Skills:

• A familiarity with maintenance parts and the equipment fleets at the Marigold Mine
• A valid driver’s license is required in order to retrieve items from vendors as needed which requires traveling on public roads
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply and divide) in order to conduct physical inventory counts and audits
• The willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to safely lift 80 pounds
• General computer skills
• A good work ethic with the ability to work well with company and vendor personnel
• Good communication skills
• Ability to adapt to changes

Required Experience:

• Experience working in a manufacturing or auto/equipment parts warehouse environment preferred.
• Experience working with computerized inventory control systems preferred
• Experience with, or the ability to learn about and use, parts issuing process
