WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview):
Oversee complex activities pertaining to contract development, selection and award, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and client specifications. Manage relationships with third party suppliers, vendors, consultants, and contractors. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.
Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State, and local regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop, conduct, and evaluate RFP’s (requests for proposal) as requested by RES Construction Project Managers.
- Draft, manage and complete construction and related contracts.
- Red-line and negotiate terms within established guidelines to mitigate contractual risk
- Serve as the key contact person to coordinate matters between the legal department, construction and risk management teams.
- Coordinating project-specific title policies and title policy endorsements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Assist with negotiation of contract terms
- Track deadlines, contract deliverables and receivables
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required. Construction experience preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to work under tight deadlines with expeditious multi-tasking.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to efficiently proofread/edit documents.
- Strong knowledge of construction industry practices and procedures
- Strong knowledge of bidding processes, contract terminology, liens, and invoicing
- Proven ability to provide exceptional client service.
- Ability and willingness to learn, cross-train and work as a team player.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
*Combination of candidate’s education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description’s minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted). ------------------------- Physical Requirements Physical requirements are those present in normal office environment conditions. Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. Ability to use a personal computer, applicable software, and office equipment for sustained periods of time. May include sitting for long periods of time, driving a vehicle, and working under challenging conditions.
PAY INFORMATION: The annual salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000. We do not offer an annual bonus for this role. Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. **We will review specific salary information at the time of phone screening based upon your location & experience.**
