AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated BIM Document Control Specialist II to join our Los Angeles Architecture studio. This is a pivotal role to work on one of the most exciting, large and complex local projects: Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games and Team USA.

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Data Management: Maintaining and managing the Common Data Environment (Autodesk Construction Cloud) to store and organize BIM models and documentation.
  • Version Control: Tracking revisions, managing data exchange (IFC, COBie), and ensuring only the latest, approved documents are used, preventing the use of obsolete files.
  • Compliance Audit: Auditing BIM models and documents for compliance with the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and established project standards.
  • Works under general supervision.
  • Participates with other team members to achieve common goals.
  • Troubleshoots problems of low complexity and recommends appropriate action.
  • Effectively contributes to team goals.
  • Provides document management and project controls support which includes the receipt, inventory, audit, tracking, storage, retrieval and distribution of both classified and unclassified electronic, paper and other media project data and documents according to company policy, and proper procedures for the projects.
  • Manages the set up and maintenance of document control / records management for multiple projects and Project Managers.
  • Ensures that all local practices and activities comply with company policies and procedures.

To be successful in this position the target candidates must be familiar with BIM technology and Document Controls.

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree plus 4 years of experience
  • experience on a variety of building types
  • Experience with Adobe Suite , Autodesk Revit, Enscape, Rhino and SketchUp
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
