Why Jobeezy uses real ATS APIs (not browser bots)
A few job-apply products submit applications by running a headless browser — literally pretending to be you clicking Apply. We don't. Here's why.
What browser bots actually do
A bot opens the employer's careers page, fills the form, uploads the resume, clicks submit. Every major hiring system — Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, Ashby, iCIMS, SmartRecruiters — runs anti-bot detection on top of that form. Most of them either flag the application, silently drop it, or ban the source IP. Your name, on that application, can get flagged too.
What real APIs do instead
Most big hiring systems have partner APIs — official channels for submitting an application with your explicit permission. When Jobeezy submits through one:
- Your application arrives tagged "applied via Jobeezy" so the recruiter knows it's legit.
- The fields show up exactly how the ATS expects them — no parsing errors, no missing info.
- The recruiter can reply through their system and the status flows back to your Jobeezy dashboard.
- No terms-of-service violation. No IP ban. No risk to your name.
What this costs us
Partner APIs need vendor approval, compliance review, and real relationships. Not every ATS has one. For smaller systems, we use Unified.to as a partner channel. Where there's no official option, we'll just tell you: "you need to apply directly on their site." We'd rather be honest than risk your name.
What this means for you
- Every Jobeezy application is properly formatted and properly tagged.
- Status updates flow back the same day the recruiter moves your card.
- Your name never gets flagged by an employer's anti-bot system.
