Job Summary:**

Hitachi, Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Process Engineering Manager to lead and optimize manufacturing processes within our organization. This role will be responsible for driving continuous improvement, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness across production lines.

Job Responsibilities:**

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of process engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of new manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Analyze existing production processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and execute strategies for process optimization, including lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and automation.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for process efficiency, quality, and cost.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, quality assurance, and maintenance, to ensure seamless integration of process changes.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Generate comprehensive reports and presentations on process performance and improvement initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in process engineering.

Job Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing process improvements and achieving significant results.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred).
  • Experience with process simulation software and statistical analysis tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Japanese is a plus.
