Position Summary

The Sales Manager provides customer sales and service support for a defined geographic region. This position is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with customers. The Sales Manager is responsible for monitoring and increasing sales volume and operating income.

Essential Functions

  • Provide in person sales and service support for all customers in a defined geographic region; attend/participate in customer open houses and special events as required
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customer personnel within the OES parents under their purview as well as all dealers within their AOR.
  • Promote current product line, introduce new product lines and assist with the promotional or service programs to customer base
  • Assist regional customers in making sales calls with distributors and fleets in their region
  • Provide guidance for service, warranty, new product
  • Conduct local/national/regional trade shows to promote product and provide guidance for potential new distributors
  • Assist in field service issues and field test programs as needed to resolve warranty issues
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Extensive knowledge of the commercial highway vehicle market
  • Significant sales experience

Experience

  • 6-10 years
  • Experience in heavy truck and brake-related components preferred
