Medical Assistant Lead

Full-time

The Medical Assistant Lead will supervise the patient care team performing medical support duties that optimize the patient experience. Additionally, the Lead will mentor and train staff, motivate, and enable their assigned area to deliver the most effective and efficient patient care. The Lead approaches his/her duties in a team-based fashion that supports patients and their families in self-management, self-efficacy, and behavior change.

  • 5-day work week – Monday to Friday – Available 8 am to 5 pm

Your thorough and concise chart documentation will provide clear necessary communication. You will maintain a clean and organized environment for both patients and staff.

Education

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Successful completion of a formal Medical Assistant training program, a minimum of 6 months in length, preferred

Experience

  • Five years of experience working as a medical assistant preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Licensure:

  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant

Medical Assistants not certified/registered upon hire are required to complete the Medical Assistant certification/registration testing within 3 months of hire. If an employee does not pass, they will be given an additional 3 months to retake the test. All Medical Assistants must be certified within 6 months of hire and certification must be maintained throughout employment.

Medical Assistants without any formal Medical Assistant training are required to have a current Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant.
