Operates and monitors oil, water and distribution facilities. Monitors process variables, troubleshoots, and performs interventions to maintain operating performance.

Performs routine tasks independently. General supervision of non-routine work. Has basic knowledge of Chevron policies and practicesChevron is accepting online applications for the position Field Operator located in Greeley, CO through July 31st, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. (Mountain Standard Time).

The Field Operator serves as the working field leader for Black Diamond and Greeley Crescent operations, accountable for the safe, reliable, and compliant execution of daily field activities. The role provides hands‐on operations, gives clear work direction. The Field Operator ensures strict adherence to operating procedures, safe work practices, permits, and operating limits while maintaining operational continuity through effective shift handovers, logs, and communication.

In addition to executing field operations, the Field Operator exercises sound judgment during abnormal or non‐routine conditions, escalates risks appropriately, and reinforces Operational Excellence behaviors in the field. The role includes mentoring and coaching other Field Operators, supporting training and qualification efforts, and coordinating with supervisors, maintenance, and support teams to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently..

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license with a history of safe driving practices.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in oil & gas facility operations or related
  • Demonstrated knowledge of safe work practices.
  • Physical ability to perform routine maintenance will be required. Regular bending, lifting up to 25 Pounds without assistance and approximately 100 pounds with assistance. crouching, pulling, and kneeling to check equipment and gauges and perform repairs
  • Ability to work rotating shifts to include holidays, weekends, with on-call duties

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of crude pipeline operations and equipment is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of safety protocols applicable to pipeline operations preferred. Good electrical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of PSM to include the basic MOC and PHA processes.
  • Basic knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), and an aptitude for learning new software packages.
  • Communicates in a clear and concise manner, both orally and in writing. Listens carefully and asks questions.
