In this dynamic role as a Manufacturing Engineer, you will have the responsibility to represent the Operations team and effectively execute new or ongoing project tasks related to your role. You will leverage a cross-functional team to execute and drive the timely completion of tasks across project types, including gross margin initiatives, regulatory requirements, process improvements, and more.
We are looking for a team member who is self-driven, detail-oriented, analytical, organized, confident, and an effective communicator.
Leads recurring cross-functional team meetings to track project task execution related to the role. Prepares agenda, facilitates discussion, takes and distributes meeting minutes. Monitors known risks and escalates both technical and logistical roadblocks. Facilitate working sessions among core team members.
- Designs manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, and material handling.
- Designs the arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure the most efficient and productive layout.
- Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
- Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
- May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
- Inspects the performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action for problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
- Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques.
- Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
- Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Requires a Baccalaureate degree
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience OR an advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Nice to Have:
- Experience working in medical device or other regulated industry.
- Experience with pharma manufacturing process
- Experience managing and leading projects that involve balancing risk, influencing diverse teams, and responsibility for outcomes.
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Knowledge with SAP
- Experience with drafting digital tools for modeling
