Position Purpose:

Responsible for functioning in a fast-paced support and scheduling role to both internal and external customers.

This role must utilize technical and logistical knowledge to support client decisions involving Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), Regulatory, and Compliance issues. Provides long and short-term schedule planning to maximize workflow and client services.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for estimating time and specifying materials, equipment, and manpower on work orders.
  • Customer interaction for scheduling, counseling, advice, and logistics.
  • Tracking transporters, work orders, and project completion to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Responsible for managing client schedules for routine and emergency projects.
  • Selects, creates, and approves new and existing waste profiles and researches new disposal and transportation options.
  • Review work order requests and correct deficiencies.
  • Interacts directly with multiple branch operations and transporters to ensure effective and efficient scheduling.
  • Create, verify, and print shipping documents including manifests, land bans, labels.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience/Background:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required. BS in Chemistry or a related subject is preferred.
  • 2+ years previous experience in scheduling, asset deployment, or industrial services preferred.
  • 3 – 5 years in the hazardous waste industry is preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the hazardous waste industry, customer interaction, regulatory knowledge, and scheduling of assets.
  • Proficiency in computers and Veolia systems knowledge.
  • Chemical, Safety, and Technical knowledge necessary.
  • Knowledge of internal and external disposal facilities and transporters is necessary
  • OSHA HAZWOPER certification preferred.
