JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the training process of new employees and those transitioning into new roles.
- Conduct PIT training for new hires and recertifications when required.
- Regularly coach, encourage and monitor employees for compliance with safety rules and practices.
- Maintaining department material requirements across all shifts.
- Collaborate with supervisors on production goals.
- Flexibility to operate and assist in different departments as needed.
- Assisting with machine changeovers to help improve uptime.
- Collaborate with maintenance on breakdowns to improve reliability in the future.
- Working with QC to determine root cause and provide resolution to quality issues.
- Manage inventory of daily production tools and other high use items as needed.
- Coordinate required department cycle counts.
- Participant in continuous improvement events.
- All other required process activities.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONS
- General knowledge of equipment in all departments.
- Communicate effectively to receive and pass on information and instruction.
- Troubleshoot basic line problems.
- Continuously pay attention to detail.
- Computer knowledge.
- Work within a team structure.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Position requires individuals to have the ability to:
- Lift 75 pounds from floor to chest.
- Maneuver (roll, spin and align) up to an 84” reel safely.
- Exert 25 pounds of force with cable cutters.
- Visually inspect quality of product.
- Use handheld tools and measuring devices.
