Test Tools Engineer
The Test Tools Engineer supports engineering development projects involving software systems, networks, and telecommunications technologies. Working closely with New Product Development and Verification and Validation groups, you will contribute to the successful integration of test tools and fixtures to support product verification and validation processes while enabling efficient and reliable testing during New Product Development.
Your role:
- Designs, develops and maintains automated test tools and equipment, to include providing technical support for existing test fixtures and driving improvements to enhance quality, reliability, and efficiency.
- Design and develop software applications for automated test equipment used in the integration and testing of electromechanical biomedical devices. Design electronic and mechanical hardware for automated test systems.
- Collaborate with drafting teams, model shops, manufacturing engineers, and technicians to design and build improved assembly and test equipment that enhances quality, efficiency, and error mitigation.
- Provide engineering support for new product development by ensuring testing equipment meets reliability, performance, and process capability requirements while supporting delivery goals.
- Author and review software verification and validation documents to ensure requirement coverage, and that compliance and performance standards are met.
You're the right fit if:
- You’ve acquired minimal years of experience in in software development using one of the following: National Instruments LabVIEW, C# with a willingness to learn LabVIEW basics or Web Development with a willingness to learn LabVIEW or C# basics; designing mechanical jigs and fixtures; write clear and professional reports, test specifications, and procedures; performing basic and statistical analysis; and medical device manufacturing is strongly preferred as is design of mechanical jigs and fixtures in CAD.
- Your skills include strong engineering judgment, problem-solving ability, effective collaboration skills, strong verbal and written communication skills; adherence to established coding standards and development procedures when creating automated tools; adherence to established quality standards when designing tools and authoring documents and use of AI to improve efficiency in performing relevant tasks.
- You have a Bachelor’s degree, required in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
- You’re an excellent collaborator, team-oriented, and have the capability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Philips Transparency Details
The pay range for this position in New Kensington, PA is $73,500 to $117,600.
