Job Description

The Senior Manager, Account Executive on Visa's Growth Products and Partnerships (GPP) team will play a critical role in managing and expanding strategic partnerships with Visa’s most complex and high-impact global big tech clients.

This individual will own key workstreams potentially across partnerships like Stripe, Microsoft, and Samsung, driving commercial growth while shaping next-generation payments initiatives (e.g., agentic commerce, tokenization, money movement, and crypto/stablecoins).

The role requires a rare combination of strategic thinking, deal execution, and cross-functional leadership to deliver outcomes across a highly matrixed organization. Success in this role requires the ability to combine strong strategic thinking with hands-on ownership and execution of complex workstreams, including independently driving initiates from problem definition through delivery in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

Why This Role:

  • Work on some of Visa’s most strategic partnerships
  • Shape the future of commerce (agentic, tokenized, programmable payments)
  • High visibility role with exposure to senior leadership
  • Operate at the intersection of strategy, product, and commercial execution

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Account Leadership:

  • Own and grow key components of Visa’s big tech partnerships across multiple business units
  • Develop and execute account strategies aligned to revenue, volume, and product adoption goals
  • Identify and prioritize new growth vectors (e.g., agentic commerce, stablecoins, new cobrand issuance constructs, money movement)
  • Independently own and drive key workstreams from strategy through execution, including defining approach, aligning stakeholders, and delivering outcomes

Commercial Structuring & Deal Execution:

  • Lead complex commercial negotiations across pricing, economics, incentives, and long-term agreements
  • Structure complex, non-standard partnerships across new products and business models with broader strategic implications
  • Co-develop and shape solutions or new product capabilities in partnership with clients
  • Balance client objectives with Visa’s economics and long-term strategic positioning

Cross-Functional Orchestration:

  • Serve as the central point of coordination across Visa teams (product, legal, finance, etc.)
  • Drive alignment across internal stakeholders and client counterparts to deliver cohesive outcomes
  • Navigate ambiguity and influence without formal authority in a highly matrixed environment

Execution & Portfolio Optimization:

  • Track performance across key metrics (volume, revenue, adoption, product penetration)
  • Identify and execute optimization levers (pricing, routing, tokenization, new use cases)
  • Dive deep into partner needs, product capabilities, and data to inform decision-making and execution
  • Identify and remove friction to enable seamless customer payment experiences across client's ecosystem

Executive Engagement:

  • Build trusted relationships with senior client leaders and partner with them on strategic initiatives
  • Prepare executive-level materials, QBRs, and strategic recommendations
  • Manage escalations and ensure alignment on high-priority initiatives.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager. This team is firm on Bay area location.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD.
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in partnerships/sales, strategy, business development, or product management
  • 10+ years of professional experience, ideally working with large, global platform partners (e.g., BigTech, marketplaces, fintech)
  • 8+ years of professional or military experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience working cross-functionally across product, legal, finance, and operations
  • Deep experience in payments, commerce platforms, or fintech ecosystems, including experience shaping or launching new products or solutions
  • Proven ability to structure complex commercial agreements and co-develop solutions or new product capabilities in partnership with clients
  • Strong commercial acumen (pricing, incentives, P&L impact)
  • Ability to operate effectively in highly matrixed organizations and influence without authority
