General Summary
Play a critical role in building Granite's workforce by leading the onboarding process for craft employees and ensuring a seamless experience from hire to project assignment. This position partners closely with unions, project teams, and employees while coordinating the personnel, equipment, materials, trucking, and rental resources needed to keep construction projects running efficiently.
Essential Job Accountabilities
- Coordinate project resource needs under the direction of the Construction Manager, Superintendents, Safety, and Equipment departments to ensure project schedule goals are met.
- Communicate detailed information such as time and specific locations to dispatch resources to jobs in the field to ensure appropriate resources are allocated.
- Work with the HR, Payroll and craft unions to maintain regulations that the union has established to ensure compliance.
- Arrange and work with the Equipment Department and other area dispatchers to ensure the best opportunity for Granite equipment utilization; schedule equipment repairs as needed.
- Assist management in planning job schedules to anticipate project needs to ensure timely delivery of resources to the job.
- Utilize computerized dispatch and distribute on a daily basis to communicate resource and scheduling with team.
- Communicate dispatch to superintendents so that they can monitor daily work (QC, Shop, PM, Payroll).
- Negotiate with various vendors to ensure Granite receives the best possible pricing for rentals or other materials needed that are not already set in Job setups; utilize the FIS system in order to streamline the processes, including setting up rental equipment and export to Field systems.
- Understand and know contract requirements when it comes to ordering job resources (DBE, listed companies or special Tier compliant equipment).
- Code dispatch office invoices to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Update the underground service alert (USA) to ensure it is current, depending on location.
- Track rentals and equipment moves to ensure efficiency.
Education
- High School Diploma – some college preferred.
Work Experience,
- 2+ years of construction resource and employee coordination experience and/or Human resource experience

$66,654.00 - $99,982.00Pay may vary based upon relevant experience, skills, location, and education among other factors.
