Job Summary:
The HR Administrator/Generalist plays a key role in supporting daily human resources operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for maintaining employee records, supporting recruitment and onboarding efforts, administering HR processes, and ensuring compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance with federal, Illinois state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Conduct Investigations and provide recommendations on employee relations issues.
- Support full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried roles.
- Actively participate in business meetings, and assist with the resolution of business challenges.
- Supports audits, reporting, and recordkeeping (e.g., OSHA logs, EEO reporting, I-9 compliance).
- Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS systems.
- Support workforce development initiatives and succession planning.
- Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.

- Ensure HR data integrity, and perform random audits for compliance.
- Direct and administer disciplinary actions and disciplinary meetings for plant location.
- Coordinate and monitor performance management program for timeliness and accuracy.
- Assist in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in human resources.
- Well-developed interpersonal, communication, clerical and organizational skills.
- Highly organized, with ability to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to compose letters, memos, and other correspondence.
- Excellent computer skills with various PC-based software packages.
- Must be lilingual in Spanish and English
