The Senior Director of Business Applications is a strategic leadership role focused on the design, architecture, and delivery of enterprise applications that power critical revenue-generating process segments: Market-to-Lead, Lead-to-Order, and Contact-to-Resolution for channel (route-to-market) and consumer. Reporting directly to the VP of Business Systems Group, this leader will own application architecture and drive intelligent automation using agentic AI to transform these processes for better customer experience, greater speed, efficiency, and scalability.
- Define and evolve the target-state architecture (platforms, data flows, and integrations) that supports seamless execution of these process segments at global scale.
- Lead the selection, implementation, integration, and continuous optimization of business applications that enable Market-to-Lead (campaigns, lead generation, scoring), Lead-to-Order (configuration, pricing, quoting, order management), and Contact-to-Resolution (customer experience, case management, service).
- Architect and deliver robust, scalable integrations between CRM, CPQ, order management, service platforms, and supporting systems to ensure end-to-end process visibility and automation.
- Drive agentic AI-enabled automation across the defined process segments, including intelligent lead qualification, dynamic pricing/quoting, automated order fulfillment, proactive issue resolution, and autonomous workflow orchestration.
- Partner with business stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, Channel, Consumer, and Technical Support to translate requirements into future-ready application architectures and AI-augmented solutions.
- Establish governance, standards, and best practices for application architecture, data quality, and AI solution reliability within these process areas.
- Lead a high-performing team of architects, analysts, developers, and AI specialists responsible for building and maintaining these capabilities.
- Collaborate with the VP of Business Systems Group on roadmap prioritization, investment decisions, vendor/partner management, and executive reporting on progress, risks, and business impact.
- Ensure all solutions meet security, compliance (including SOX where applicable), performance, and scalability requirements for a global high-tech manufacturer.
- Identify and implement metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of the architecture and agentic AI automation on revenue velocity, conversion rates, order accuracy, resolution time, and customer satisfaction.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 12+ years of experience in business applications leadership, with deep expertise in Market-to-Lead, Lead-to-Order, and Contact-to-Resolution processes.
- Strong architectural background in CRM, CPQ, Order Management, Service Cloud / CX platforms, and related ecosystems.
- Proven success designing and implementing agentic AI and intelligent automation solutions that deliver measurable process transformation.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional application initiatives in global channel and consumer business models.
- Hands-on familiarity with modern integration platforms, low-code/no-code tools, and AI orchestration technologies.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills with the ability to influence at the executive level.
- Experience in high-tech or manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.

- An employee’s pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs.
- The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York. This range may be modified in the future.
- If your position is non-exempt, you are eligible for overtime pay pursuant to company policy and applicable laws. You may also be eligible for shift differential pay, depending on the shift to which you are assigned.
- You will be eligible to be considered for bonuses under either WD’s Short Term Incentive Plan (“STI Plan”) or the Sales Incentive Plan (“SIP”) which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance, depending on your role and your performance. You may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan. Please note that not all roles are eligible to participate in the LTI program, and not all roles are eligible for equity under the LTI plan.
