As Associate Director, Operations AI Adoption, you are responsible for driving AI and digital transformation adoption and governance across Operations ensuring alignment with enterprise AI priorities. You lead cross-Operations adoption processes, including AI and digital transformation, change management activities, communication strategies and forums. You are partnering with site and function SLT members, AI Directors and AI Engineers to intake, scope, and prioritize new use cases. The role serves as a key interface to Operations site and above site functional VPs, directors, and technical leaders across operations. You create adoption frameworks and processes to support use case evaluation, prioritization, delivery readiness, post-delivery sustainability and growth. You are working with business and technical partners to ensure advancements within AI and digital maturity; performance measures and internal AI governance expectations are met.

Responsibilities

  • Drive AI Adoption and governance across Operations, ensuring alignment to enterprise AI strategy, decision-making forums, and cross-functional priorities.
  • Develop communication strategies and materials, lead Operations AI benchmarking programs. provide clear, concise updates to senior leadership, including the Operations SLT and AI SteerCo, to support transparency, escalation, and decision making.
  • Serve as a key interface with the business, coordinating inputs, feedback, dependencies, and follow-up actions across Operations driving sustainable adoption of AI and digital transformation investments.
  • Support the annual PLAN and LRP processes for AI initiatives, partnering with AI Directors and AI Engineers to intake, assess, and prioritize new use cases and investment opportunities.
  • Create and continuously improve frameworks, governance standards, and internal processes for use case scoping, prioritization, business case development, and delivery readiness.
  • Support evaluation and selection of external vendors and partners by defining assessment criteria, facilitating cross-functional reviews, and ensuring alignment to business needs, governance requirements, and sustainable adoption strategies.
  • Partner with AI Directors, AI Engineers, and business stakeholders to define initial value estimates, success metrics, and assumptions for new AI use cases.
  • Establish and manage routine mechanisms for tracking performance progress, value realization, risks, issues, and decisions, and communicate insights to relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities that strengthen AI adoption, change management, maturity, and scalability across Operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, engineering, data science, computer science, life sciences, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • 5 Years of Program/Project Management Experience
  • 8+ years’ experience at the intersection of strategy, operations and technology within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and operations.
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts and ability to apply to varied business settings
  • Experience driving adoption, change management and influencing organizational culture for technology-enabled and/or business use cases.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess, scope, and prioritize opportunities, translate business needs into structured initiatives, and support roadmap development.
  • Experience building business cases, defining value estimates, success metrics, and tracking mechanisms for strategic or technology initiatives.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across business, technical, and operational teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing materials and delivering updates for senior leaders and governance forums.
  • Proficiency with common business and collaboration tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint; experience with analytics, visualization, or AI-enabled tools is a plus.
  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
