Full job description
We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Boilermaker within our Pasadena Plant located in Pasadena, TX.
Essential Job Duties:
- Maintain protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate and/or transport our products, as our highest priority.
- Must have the ability to distinguish and understand the different types of valves and actuators
- Working knowledge of heat exchangers and how to disassemble, pressure test and reassemble various types of heat exchangers
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and plans
- Attach rigging, assist crane operator, welders
- Detect problems with machines and equipment
- Must be able to rig and move heavy steel
- Must be able to work in confined spaces, work at heights, climb ladders and stairways and work from platforms
- Must have good manual dexterity and experience using industrial hand tools and power tools.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Boilermaker activities in an industrial environment
- NCCER Certification prior to employment
- Must be able to read process flow diagrams, P&IDs, mechanical drawings and follow mechanical specifications
- Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed to maintain a 24/7 operating plant
- Ability to read, speak, and write English
- Have a valid driver’s license required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills include the ability to work as part of a team.
Additional Desired Qualifications
- Good working knowledge of SAP.
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs, climb ladders and stairs.
- Walking, bending, stooping is required.
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including the use of a respirator.
- Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
