Your role and responsibilities

In this role as Master Production Scheduler, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for conversion of supply plan into a master production schedule which can be executed. Each day, you will translate projected forecasts, incoming volume, and work scopes into a production plan with a time-phased build schedule. You will also showcase your expertise by establishing key performance indicators of master plan accuracy.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Schedule Development & Maintenance: Translate projected forecasts, incoming volume, and work scopes into a time‐phased build schedule, ensuring accuracy and adherence to KPI; Demand & Capacity Planning: Identify current demand levels, create tactical production plans, and calculate production lead times
  • Load Levelling & Bottleneck Management: Apply load‐leveling techniques and Theory of Constraints (TOC) to balance capacity and improve scheduling accuracy; MRP & Work Order Management: Execute daily plant‐level MRP to generate production requirements, release manufacturing work orders, and manage MRP exception messages
  • Sequence & Lead Time Optimization: Establish operation sequences and lead times to meet shipment dates per the master schedule; Performance Tracking: Monitor schedule adherence, identify root causes of deviations, and implement improvement actions
  • Cross‐Functional Collaboration: Work with functional managers, local and regional Planning & Fulfillment teams, customer service, and material planners to resolve issues and share planning parameters; Reporting: Assemble master schedule reports covering performance against business, shipment, inventory, and production plans

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field PLUS minimum 2 years of experience in production scheduling
  • Proficiency in scheduling software and ERP systems
  • Prior experience in production planning, manufacturing, or process improvement is highly valued
  • Relevant certifications in supply chain, project management, or business management, a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies, a plus
  • Ability to work in a multi‐cultural, international environment
  • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
