About the Team
Ever since our first credit card customer in 1994, Capital One has recognized that technology and data can enable even large companies to be innovative and personalized. As one of the first large enterprises to go all-in on the public cloud, Capital One built cloud and data management tools that didn’t exist in the marketplace to operate at scale. In 2022, we publicly announced Capital One Software and have since brought two of our B2B software solutions to market: Slingshot and Databolt.
As the Director of Product Management, you will champion the strategy, development, and delivery of next-generation enterprise products for Capital One Software. You will be building high-scale, mission-critical business platforms designed to solve the complex data, cloud, and operational challenges faced by today’s modern enterprise financial institutions.

Whether your background is rooted in elite management consulting with a proven track record of bringing platforms to life, or in enterprise B2B product management navigating 0 to 1 business, or scaling a business, you are an expert at dealing with ambiguity and coming up with ideas, and turning them into delightful experiences that solve a problem for customers.

What You’ll Do
- Product: Develop and implement new product and pricing strategies for various lending products; lead product level data modeling/analytics
- Execution: Manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build business requirements and execute against the product strategy. Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently
- Partnership: Work closely with colleagues across Capital One including: IT, Sales, Operations, Finance and others to drive improvement in quality, volume, service, and profitability
- Strategic; analytic orientation: A proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics. Conceptual thinking skills must be complemented by a strong quantitative orientation, given that a large part of the business is based on rigorous analytic marketing & credit risk management
- Strong business judgment, leadership and integrity: They should be a tenacious decision maker, able to bring a healthy, aggressive, yet responsible approach to business
- Solid people leadership experience: Ability to build and leverage the capabilities of a high-performing team, as well as business partners across the enterprise. They should foster innovation, drive critical decisions, hold business partners accountable, and be able to consistently deliver results
- Strong executive communication skills: Impeccable written and oral communication credentials, coupled with strategic influencing skills and the ability to drive agreement through intellect, interpersonal and negotiation skills

- Successful track record of thriving in a fast paced, entrepreneurial and dynamic environment. Previous consulting experience is a plus
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in any field and 5 years of Product Management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products
- A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration
- 2+ years of experience in Financial Services, Banking, or FinTech sectors
- 1+ years of experience in Management Consulting
- 10+ years of experience in Product Management in Data Management or Data Protection
- Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale enterprise B2B software or platforms
