Job Overview:

Job Summary As a Rodbuster B at Primoris Energy Services, you will be responsible for cutting, bending, and tying reinforcing steel bars (rebar) to construct concrete structures, ensuring the structural integrity of various energy infrastructure projects.

Job Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine the layout, dimensions, and type of rebar required.
  • Cut rebar to specified lengths using rebar shears, acetylene torches, or other cutting tools.
  • Bend rebar into required shapes and angles using hand benders, power benders, or other bending equipment.
  • Position, space, and secure rebar in concrete forms using tie wire, clips, or other fasteners.
  • Connect rebar using various tying techniques, ensuring proper overlap and secure connections.
  • Lift, carry, and place rebar, often requiring physical strength and endurance.
  • Assist in the unloading and staging of rebar materials at the job site.
  • Operate and maintain hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies on the job site.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and other trades.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Rodbuster or similar construction role, demonstrating proficiency in rebar cutting, bending, and tying techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
  • Strong understanding of rebar sizes, types, and their applications.
  • Proficient in using hand tools and power tools common to rebar work (e.g., rebar cutters, benders, tying tools).
  • Physical stamina and strength to lift and manipulate heavy rebar in various weather conditions.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all safety regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites (24005 Rayburn and other potential locations).
  • OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour certification is a plus.
