COMPANY INTRODUCTION

Triveni Bio is breaking new ground in the identification of novel disease targets – working at the convergence of human genetics, best-in-class antibody design, and precision medicine. We are pioneering a Mendelian genetics-informed precision medicine approach to develop functional antibodies for the treatment of immunological and inflammatory (I&I) disorders. Our lead antibody program (TRIV-509) targets kallikreins 5 and 7 (KLK5/7) to directly impact skin barrier function, inflammation, and itch – providing a meaningful and much needed potential treatment option for patients with atopic dermatitis and other barrier disorders. SUMMARY As Director, Business Development, you will execute Triveni Bio’s external innovation and partnering strategy to expand our pipeline and maximize the value of our platform. Reporting to the COO, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, negotiating, and closing strategic transactions including in-licensing, out-licensing, collaborations, and strategic partnerships. On a day-to-day basis, you will proactively source opportunities aligned with Triveni’s focus in immunology and inflammation, conduct scientific and commercial assessments, build financial models, and drive cross-functional diligence efforts. You will work closely with Research, Clinical, Corporate Strategy, Legal, Finance and Executive Leadership to advance transactions from initial outreach through deal execution. As part of a lean and highly collaborative team, you will gain exposure to enterprise strategy, portfolio prioritization, and executive decision-making, while directly influencing the growth trajectory of the company. This position requires a blend of deep scientific fluency and advanced transactional acumen.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Search & Evaluation: Identify and proactively evaluate external opportunities including in-licensing, out-licensing, partnerships, and collaborations aligned with Triveni’s strategyBuild and maintain a robust external network across biotech, pharma, academia, and investorsCollaborate closely with Corporate Strategy to monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to inform business development strategyCompile comparable transactions, develop financial models and generate valuation analyses to support deal structures and investment decisions and strategic priorities and trade-offs Diligence Leadership: Partner cross-functionally (R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, Legal, Finance, etc.) to manage diligence processes and align stakeholders Manage technical and corporate virtual data room to ensure stage-appropriate disclosures Lead all external diligence processes (FAQs, Q&As, etc.) Deal Execution: Work closely with COO and Legal to participate in end-to-end deal execution including drafting, structuring and negotiation of complex term sheets and definitive agreements Act as business for normal course BD contracting (e.g., tech transfer, MSAs, SRA, etc.) Alliance Management: Support alliance management activities for existing partnerships Competitive intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities to inform corporate strategy Integrate AI to automate and disseminate information on key updates in near real time Other duties as assigned EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or related field; advanced degree (PhD, MD, MBA) preferred 8+ years of business development, corporate development, or related experience within a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company Demonstrated track record of successfully leading and closing multiple business development transactions (e.g., licensing, partnerships, or M&A deals) in the biotech/pharma industry Strong experience conducting scientific and commercial diligence and building valuation/financial models Experience working cross-functionally with research, clinical, and G&A teams to execute complex deals Ability to travel up to 20–30% as needed for partner meetings, conferences, and industry events
