Production Associate - Crater/Floater 1st Shift at Cornerstone Building Brands — Deer Lake, PA

Base pay rate is $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

1st Shift Hours: 6:00AM - 2:00PM, Monday - Friday (Overtime may be required based on production demands)

The Production Associate - Crater/Floater is a versatile production team member responsible for building crates, packaging finished products for shipment, and providing support across multiple departments as needed. This position requires flexibility, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic to ensure production goals and quality standards are consistently met.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Build and assemble wooden crates, pallets, and shipping containers according to specifications.
• Package and prepare finished products for shipment to prevent damage during transportation.
• Measure, cut, and assemble materials using hand and power tools safely and accurately.
• Verify product quantities and inspect finished products prior to packaging.
• Move materials and finished products throughout the facility using proper lifting techniques or material handling equipment.
• Float between departments as needed to assist with production, packaging, shipping, or other operational tasks.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, and work procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout an 8-hour shift.
• Frequently lift and carry up to 65 pounds.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
• Must be able to safely operate hand tools and production equipment.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Manufacturing, warehouse, or construction experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to read a tape measure and follow work instructions.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Dependable with excellent attendance and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
