Job Overview:

Job Summary:**

As an Electrician A for Primoris Energy Services at the 24005 Rayburn location, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in industrial settings, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and safety standards.

Job Responsibilities:**

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical power systems, control systems, and lighting systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine wiring layouts.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and systems.
  • Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers, for defects and wear.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as local and national electrical codes (e.g., NEC).
  • Operate various hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Collaborate with other trades and team members to ensure project completion.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent.
  • May be required to work at heights or in confined spaces.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance electrical knowledge and skills.

Job Qualifications:**

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited electrician apprenticeship program or equivalent work experience (typically 4+ years).
  • Valid Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification, as required by state and local regulations.
  • Proven experience in industrial electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant electrical safety standards.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Proficiency in using various electrical testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, ammeters, oscilloscopes).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, bending, and climbing for extended periods.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
